SCDC DONATION DRIVE: Help Us Prevent the Spread of the Coronavirus

It’s no secret that effects of coronavirus have temporarily paralyzed the nation as more Americans or forced to remain at home and practice social distancing, but for an estimated 2.2 million incarcerated loved ones the option of social distance remains a far stretch from reality.

We are facing a dilemma of adequate supplies to detect and possibly prevent the spread of Covid-19 to our loved ones and staff. We are fortunate in partnering with SCDC Director Stirling and staff to be a part of the solution. While we are actively seeking the help of more partnerships we need your help to make our efforts go even further.  We need each other in this fight!

You can help us with providing essential supplies from the “approved list” provided below.

Your support is crucial to our efforts to stop the spread of Covid-19 throughout the prisons.

Here are the approved items and ways you can make a donation:

— Bars of Antibacterial Soap (preferably Dial, Safeguard, or similar)

— Pulse Oximeters (testing of levels of oxygen)

— Monetary donation

CashApp: $heartsforinmates

CashApp w/Tax Deduction Option $heartsforinmatesrebirth

PayPal: heartsforinmates@gmail.com

Mail: P.O Box 50754 Greenwood, SC 29649

Thank you in advance for your contribution. Our goal is to distribute two -three bars of soap per SCDC inmate and have one pulse oximeter for both sides of each dorm. Projected goal:  200-300.

We are kindly asking please do not send any of these items directly to the prisons. These items require pre-approval by SCDC. We will ensure your organization or name be added to the list of contributors.
